Register Colorado

Terms, refunds & filing authorization

Private service. Not a government agency.

Register Colorado is an independent, privately operated document preparation and filing assistance service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the IRS, the Colorado Secretary of State, or any government agency. We do not provide legal advice, tax advice, or attorney representation.

You may file directly with government agencies. The IRS issues EINs for free; our $75 EIN charge is a private assistance fee. Our prices pay for our services, not government approval. Government fees are separate and must be confirmed before filing. Payment does not submit a government application or guarantee approval or a completion date.

1. Service scope and agreement

By requesting assistance, you select a private service to prepare documents and assist with a Colorado filing using information you provide. Our staff reviews scope, requirements and your instructions before submitting documents. This website does not automatically submit applications to the state or IRS. No attorney-client relationship is created. Consult an attorney or tax professional for specific legal or tax decisions.

2. Private service fees and government charges

Private service fees in USD are: EIN $75; Secretary of State registration $150; trade name $75; periodic report $40; private late-filing service charge $150 when applicable. An IRS EIN is free. Government charges are not our service fees and are confirmed separately before submission. Applicable tax is shown at checkout; we do not add a card surcharge. Work begins after payment confirmation, with the necessary authorizations. Any additional service or charge requires your approval.

3. Cancellations and refunds

To request cancellation or a refund, email registrasecolorado@gmail.com with your request reference. Do not email SSNs, ID numbers or document photos. We review each request individually, considering work completed and payments already made to third parties. We do not promise a fixed refund amount or deadline. Any refund of official fees depends on the relevant agency. This policy does not limit your statutory rights.

4. Accuracy and limited authorization

You must verify the exact business name, entity type, addresses and individuals’ names before filing. Requesting or paying for assistance does not authorize us to sign for you, use third-party names or addresses without permission, or appoint a registered agent without consent. Before filing, staff must obtain the written authorizations and consents required by the agency. The website acceptance checkbox does not replace those documents.

5. EIN and tax elections

An EIN application must identify the business’s actual responsible party. The preparer cannot replace that person merely by preparing the application. Staff must obtain required signatures and third-party authorization for the IRS-permitted method, including Form SS-4 where applicable. An S-Corp election is separate from state registration and generally uses Form 2553; IRS eligibility, signatures and deadlines apply. Selecting S-Corp in our form does not submit that election or guarantee acceptance.

6. Optional yearly plan

The periodic report is available once for $40 or, only if you select the renewal checkbox, for $40 per year plus applicable tax. The plan renews automatically each year until you cancel. Official fees are separate. Request a private link through Manage my plan to cancel, update your card or view receipts; email us if you need help. Cancelling future renewals does not request a refund of previous charges.

7. Educational information and outcomes

Entity comparisons and AI responses are general information and may contain errors. They are not personalized advice and do not determine which structure you should select. Liability protection depends on the law and circumstances; it is not absolute. Approval, timing and official decisions depend on government agencies. Templates and matters involving partners, investments or customized provisions require appropriate legal review.
